That’s $6000 per month Mel Gibson has been ordered to pay for his daughter with Oksana Grigorieva. The couple were in court recently over child custody issues.
Radar Online reports that Mel’s attorneys acknowledged the actor spends $7.2 million per year on his own personal expenses but that those expenses are necessary, not extravagant.
Meanwhile, the attorneys claimed some of Oksana’s request for their daughter are unnecessary, since Lucia is only nine months old. For example, Oksana reportedly requested Mel pay for bodyguards.
When you first hear it, $6000 per month does sound extreme until you consider the type of money we’re talking about. I mean, spending $7.2 million a year on “necessary expenses”? But then, Mel did earn it.
